Start with your non-negotiables
Write down two or three requirements before opening retailer tabs. For a laptop it may be RAM, port selection and serviceability. For headphones, comfort, call quality and battery could matter more than a long feature list.
Normalize the price
Compare the price for the same variant and the same payment path. A small up-front saving is not always better when the included warranty, return eligibility or bundle differs.
Use ratings carefully
A rating is more meaningful with the rating count and recency. Read a small sample of recent reviews for patterns that matter to your use rather than treating the average as a verdict.
Verify the policies before checkout
Check the product-specific return, replacement, delivery and warranty information on the retailer page. These can vary by product, seller and location.
